WELCOMING
SUMMER

With the solstice behind us, it’s officially summer. It’s been said that NY is at her best when the heat is on, and we wholeheartedly agree. Hotel 99 is conveniently located in the charming Upper West Side of New York, where the hustle and bustle of the city intertwines with the peace of nature. Join us as we unveil the top outdoor activities to experience during your stay in this vibrant neighborhood.

1. Riverside Park

Spanning 4 miles from 72nd street to 158th street alongside the Hudson River, Riverside Park is a great vista for watching the sunset. There is a fantastic bike path, sports fields, a skate park, and plenty of grassy areas to have a picnic. Immerse yourself in cultural events and festivals, or simply revel in the serenity of this urban retreat.

2. Central Park

Central Park is arguably one of the most notable parks in the world. Filled with iconic landmarks that have been the backdrop for unforgettable cultural moments, it’s one of the best places to spend some time outdoors. Have a picnic in Sheep Meadow or listen to the musicians by Bethesda fountain. If you’re lucky, make sure to snag some free tickets to see Shakespeare in the Park.

3. Lincoln Center

Lincoln Center is renowned for the performing arts. Inside you can watch the ballet, or be moved by an Aria. During the summer, they host a variety of free outdoor activities in a series called Summer for the City. The weekly silent discos under the 10 foot disco ball are a personal favorite

4. Flea Markets

Check out the Grand Bazaar, open every Sunday from 10AM – 5PM. It’s one of the largest flea markets in the city where you can find handmade crafts and vintage goods alike. As you wander, the aroma of street food fills the air. Engage with local artisans, support their businesses, and bring home a new treasure.

It is well located near the subway, it is quite clean, the area is safe and with shops around, on a major avenue, it is not at all noisy wich being NY is very unlikely, I was in a room with a bathroom,

The hotel is recycled and very nice. The rooms are very small but clean and nice the bathroom is shared with few rooms and I always found it empty. Also very clean and neat. Great budget option in NY.
