Best Doughnuts
IN NYc

America may run on Dunkin, but New York City has the best artisanal doughnuts in the world. We’re talking flavor, toppings, and all over gooey goodness. If you’re looking for the best sweet, round treat to start the morning with or to serve as a pick-me-up during a long day of exploring, this is a list of the best donuts around!

1. Doughnut Plant

Doughnut plant is legendary for having incredible donuts. They’re truly innovative – inventing the first Crème Brûlée donut and using fresh fruit and nuts in their glazes. Doughnut plant has also pioneered the cake donut bringing an upgraded flavor profile to a classic dessert. For the chocolate-lover, the Brooklyn Blackout is not to be missed. The hibiscus is another delectable classic flavor.

Dominique Ansel is famous for inventing the cronut – a hybrid of a croissant and a donut. The end result is a donut with flaky layers crafted to perfection. The cronut is truly a work of art, taking 3 days to make. The flavor changes every month, and in its tenth year, a flavor has never been repeated. To taste one is a life changing experience, and it is not to be missed.

Dough’s donuts are big pillows of flavor. Made in small batches, they are always fresh. Each masterpiece is handcrafted and they use only the best ingredients resulting in dough that is perfectly fluffy. Be sure to pair the donut with one of their locally-sourced coffees.

Get transported back in time at this Greenpoint Institution. Peter Pan Donut and Pastry shop is a community classic. This bakery has been around since 1953, and the servers’ pink and teal uniforms will take you back in time. Although the line can get quite long, the red velvet doughnuts are absolutely worth the wait!

Hidden inside a small shop in the heart of Chinatown are the chewiest donuts you’ve ever tried. Alimama tea is home to NY’s original mochi donut. Mochi is a Japanese rice cake made of japonica glutinous rice and as a plus are gluten free. The resulting donuts are chewy, soft, and perfectly sweet. We would recommend the matcha mochi donut which comes with toasted rice krispies that give it a good crunch.

It is well located near the subway, it is quite clean, the area is safe and with shops around, on a major avenue, it is not at all noisy wich being NY is very unlikely, I was in a room with a bathroom,

The hotel is recycled and very nice. The rooms are very small but clean and nice the bathroom is shared with few rooms and I always found it empty. Also very clean and neat. Great budget option in NY.

It was a quiet month, we achieved the goal of our stay in New York and felt safe. The location is practical, it is close to the station to move to the tourist area. The cleaning and service staff are very friendly and helpful.
